I love my living room FLOR. supadupa

Redecorating my living room a year and a half after my husband’s death helped me feel fresh and helped push me into dating. I used the online configurator to make a giant square with bands of Amazing Lace and Fedora, with biright Toy Poodle and House Pet accents. Installed  it myself with a little help from a blind friend. We did modifications to interrupt the bands because it seemed to work better and draw some paths into the room. I’d inherited a bunch of vintage lace and furs and wanted something that would work together if I ever made some big panels using these scraps. I planned to invite my dates over and show them how unpredictable, vital, yet classy I am. I knew what I’d think if they couldn’t deal with my carpet.

It’s two years after that, I’ve remarried and we’re moving. I’m delighted that we can take this with us (though, wish you still had some Amazing Lace left… the new house is bigger). And maybe one day I’ll get to framing up the lace and furs to complement it?

I love that it’s flexible, movable, inexpensive, easy to clean (I have a little kid and she likes glitter glue!) and “green.” I sell FLOR to everyone I meet and am about to tweet a bunch about it, too! Read an interview with Ray Anderson years ago and was amazed when this line came out and was so, so cool in addition to being visionary.

I also used four FLOR tiles in Modern Mix, red, to cover up a hideous former duct opening that had been patched with 2 x 4s and an incredibly amount of glue. Perfect and inexpensive! This will probably “convey” with the old house as there is no better solution for that spot short of reinstalling and feathering a large section of hardwood.
