A Dual Shipping Container Home

Sure, you’ve seen shipping containers as homes before, but have you seen two shipping containers inside one home?

San Francisco-based couple Jeff Wardall and Claudia Sagan tackled their industrial loft by adding two shipping containers to the interior – nearly doubling the function of the space.

Lofts are rarely blessed with the promise of privacy, so adding in a designated shipping container for both a guest bedroom and home office was a genius move.

The pair can now live, work and host in peace, while still maintaining the industrial aesthetic of their beloved loft. So smart, yes?

Tell me, would you install shipping containers inside your home? Or is the look a bit too modular for your taste? Spill it in the comments below!

I want to know who has time to wait for the glass to glaze over before using the john. It should have been permanently glazed to chest height ,or better yet eye level, then allowed to remain clear for lighting at the top.
I think the walls of the containers will be better soundproofing for their uses but it would have been smarter and quicker to install room dividers or ceiling height curtains in my view.
