A Finnish Find

You may have noticed a particularly delightful room in my recent post about the Gnome lamp:

I was so inspired by this children’s space, that I had to see the rest of the home and it truly is spectacular.   A black and white palette with pops of color and a playful nod to conservative transformed an old log house into a truly sophisticated yet down-to-earth home.  My favorite feature in the entire space are the raw wood walls.  Whether stained a moody dark, dark brown…

…or whitewashed to reveal their beautiful texture…

… the definition the walls provide to every room is magnificent.

Not to be outshone, the kitchen even sports a delightfully untampered brick wall that stands alone as both an interesting focal point and a reference to the history of the house.

You can find more photos of this beautiful home on the Finnish Interior Blog, Mrs Jones.  All photos credited to Krista Keltanen.
