Furniture designer, Leonard Theosabrata, a graduate of the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, tackled his late father’s greatest challenge by designing a seat capable of conforming to individual bodies based on weight and movement. And….it’s pretty to boot!
The ergonomically designed chairs and benches sold through the French furniture house, Accupunto, are constructed with bungie cords and individual polypropylene ”needles” that press on various points of the body to release pressure not unlike an acupuncture treatment.
With a range of colors available, and countless customization opportunities for the corporate crowd, the chairs could not only heal our bodies but transform our workspaces as well.
