Artwork DIY: 1 Map, 4 Frames

Any size home will greatly benefit from using the walls – hang artwork, paint, wallpaper, add decor accents. Not only does styling your walls add design elements but it can balance out the harmony of a room and provide what I like to call vertical depth. Who doesn’t want their home to appear bigger than it really is. When you can make your wall decor personal while keeping your style vibe, even better. I want to share one of my fave artwork DIYs that’s easy and look awesome – the art series.

Creating a series of art look fantastic. The symmetrical style, the coordinated frames – it all looks great. But often curating a series for your own home is overwhelming. My suggestion – take one print or a large map that is personal from a journey – and make it into a series. Decide how many frames you want (you can simply do 2 or even do 10 – whatever you want) and measure the available matte sizes. Order a supersized image to accommodate the frames needed to be filled. When your print arrives or if you are just using a map (like above), measure and cut your picture into the smaller pictures for your frames. Voila – you now have an original art series that looks lovely and is special to you in your home.

Have you created an art series in your home?
