Having a swinging time

Recently we had cause to cautiously consider placing a swing inside our home.  The sensorial experience of a swing that hugs the body is just what my son craves.  Thankfully, there was no shortage of inspiring rooms with swings available for us to consider.
I particularly like this double hanging swing combination with the play-house above.  It definitely is a special room.  That said, my entire house could fit in this room, so this isn’t exactly practical for us.

This sweet room design is so whimsical and inspired.  I love the idea of the swing as a cozy nook for reading for older children.

And why not get started early-on by swinging in the nursery!  I love this gorgeous, natural hammock swing.

And I don’t know of many kids who can resist a tire swing…especially not one in the middle of such a fun play room.

Of course, swings are for more than kids and babies…just check out these fun options for the teenager in your life.  These iconic bubble swings make a great conversation piece both on and off the swing…

…and this rattan swing is just the natural kick this stylish room needs.

After researching all of the options, we chose a Yoki Hanging Nest Swing for our son and it hangs in a corner right in our dining room!  I don’t think you’ll find a happier kid hanging around.
