Love a pattern? Take it with you.

Have you ever been so in love with a design theme that is seems to follow you as your design style evolves and changes? I have this love with stripes. The clean lines and contrast of colors blocks has always appealed to me and I lean towards this pattern throughout my home. I wanted to share a few ways to interpret stripes in your space that can span from super subtle to straight-on in your face.

1)  An art gallery is a fantastic display opportunity. Take another look and you’ll find the symmetrical lines that form row (or stripes) to people that love this pattern.

2)  Accents like pillows and throws are a great way to add stripe-style to a home. I love this Trina Turk throw that I spotted in NYC the other weekend. It is comfy with an elegant edge and is full of color and clean lines.

3)  Your floor accent is a great way to add stripes into the design mix. Flor offers tons of design ideas with stripes through many of their tiles. I love the Striped flor tiles and enjoy them in my bedroom. I went with gray to provide a neutral base to my space.

What do you think of the stripe design style? Do you have striped in your home? Share your style with us.
