Make This: DIY Wall Hook

Have you ever worked with shrink film? I’m an admitted DIY failure, so the idea is incredibly daunting to me. But after spotting these adorable decorative wall hooks (that would be simply perfect in a tiny bedroom or quirky entryway!), I might be convinced that shrink film is a tool worth learning to use.

With a few simple materials like dowel rods, shrink film, vellum and screws, these adorable wall hooks seem completely do-able. Can you imagine the possibilities? I’d love to see a family portrait wall with custom silhouettes for every member of the family to house their coats. Or even a few dog-shaped designs for leashes, or “His” and “Hers” hooks for hanging and identifying separate power chargers in the office. Indeed, personalization knows no boundaries!

What do you think – are you crafty enough to give it a go? The instructions are here and seem relatively foolproof, but I’m still nervous. I can’t remember the last time I DIY’d a project that turned out right! Here’s hoping this one will stick!
