Massucco Warner Miller
Every once in a blue moon I get a random marketing magazine from my realtor and I usually just toss it in the recycling (and by “toss it in the recycling” I mean: “I intend to read it and never get to it and then something shiny goes by and I forget all about it on the kitchen counter and then my husband comes home and gathers it up along with everything else I’ve left lying around and recycles it”).
Annnnnnyway, this time I finally opened up the magazine and came across a feature on Massucco Warner Miller, a west coast based interior design firm. Flipping through the article I was struck by their bold yet studied use of pattern. The patterns range from handsome to whimsical and truly shine when combined with their clearly purposeful upholstery selections. Just take a look at these shots from their portfolio:
The fantastical upholstery-nail trim on the oval ottoman is what originally caught my eye, but the medium scale pattern on the pillows and the playful edge of red on the otherwise classic chairs is what really makes this sitting room (above) really stand out.
The beautiful and innovative use of space in the room below sealed the deal for me as far as HAVING to feature this design team here – not to mention the perfect color story and amazing pattern selection! What an incredible teen room this is – sophisticated and fanciful all at once.
You know I love a wide, bold stripe…even more, I appreciate the simplicity of the headboard design, which is key in keeping this beautiful room from being to busy.
Another beautiful color and pattern story here, but what really got me excited was the work area. It is by far the best closet-turned-workspace I have ever seen.
I encourage you to check out the rest of the portfolio featured over on the Massucco Warner Miller website as their point-of-view is truly special.
