Mixing it up
Way back, a long time ago, when I was a single gal, I coveted (like so many others in my similar situation) a Kitchenaid stand mixer. But I didn't have enough room in my single-gal apartment to justify the purchase so I waited until that glorious day after my wedding when I happened upon a gorgeous, cobalt blue Kitchenaid mixer hidden amongst the pile of gifts. I would be lying if I told you I didn't squeal with joy.
This being Thanksgiving week, I am up to my elbows in pie crusts, apple slices, butter, celery, sage, thyme, turkey, cranberries, you name it, so my gorgeous cobalt blue mixer is really getting a work out. I love it even more now than the very first time I laid eyes on it and realized it was mine, so the idea of decorating it never even crossed my mind…that was until I spied these spectacular vinyl decals from House of Smiths.
The one above is my favorite with its modern swirls gracefully draped across the top.
Of course, I love the symmetry of this design too.
Oh wait, oh wait…I think THIS one's my favorite now too!! I love the nod to Subway chic with all of the various baking references.

I too HEART my cobalt blue kitchenaid mixer SO MUCH I've even named him! I love the modern swirl decals!!! I may have to check those out!!
