Oh so Mod(ular)!
Clearly as a fan of FLOR, I’m a fan of modular anything…let’s just get that out of the way. That said, I may have just died and seen a glimpse of modular heaven.
Italian furniture designers and founders of Officefordesign, Andrea Palmioli and Mirko Spaccapanico, presented this gorgeous wooden modular system at the most recent Maison&Objet show in Paris. Believing in the simple box as an origin for everything in our lives that needs to be contained, both literally and figuratively, the designers have created a system that is breathtakingly simple in in form and material, but that is every bit sophisticated with its detailed construction and versatility.
With a color palate inspired by both nature and architectural decorations from the past few centuries, the system, called W-Box is equal parts fresh and thoughtful of the past.
There are more photos of this beautiful collection on the French Interior Design blog, Flodeau.
