Same Tile, 3 Different Looks

I'm endlessly impressed with how a few statement furnishings can entirely transform a space. Take, for instance, the following three bathrooms. They each feature the same light-colored subway tile on the walls, but look so different when paired with meticulous accents:

The Scandinavian Stunner (image via Nura Loves)

With white floor boards, an industrial cabinet, a pedestal sink and French-inspired lighting, this bathroom sets the stage for a clawfoot tub to act as the main focal point. The aesthetic feels very international (and how gorgeous is that camel club chair in the corner?).

Here, the light subway tile acts as a subtle backdrop to an eclectic gallery wall of framed photos and art. The wall is accented beautifully with artisan objects, an antiqued bronze tub and glass walls. So very vintage chic!

The Country Charmer (image via Cabbage Rose)

Last, but certainly not least, that same subway tile is featured floor-to-ceiling in this charming country powder room (how much do you love those two mirrors together?). With more traditional fixtures and antiqued mirrors, the bathroom feels airy and light.

Amazing what a basic, white subway tile can do, yes?
