Small design consideration – Doorknobs

I’ve been talking a lot about small details in the home because I really believe that mini design moments can make a big and graceful impact in a home. One item that doesn’t always get the design treatment but can is the doorknob. Have you taken a closer look at your home’s doorknobs? From room to room, most of your doors have doorknobs. Consider swapping out any standard ones for color or material. I spotted some awesome crystal doorknobs recently and it inspired my to make the change.     This is so true and is often this level of detail that people remember…the surprise moments. Finding a radio volume control on the back of a steering wheel, a soft close cabinet door, the balance of a well designed spoon or the way a good butter knife spreads mayonasie.
