Unexpected lighting is one of my favorite statement makers for any space, so when I spotted the paper notes chandelier in the photo above, I immediately began searching for DIY instructions. Because surely this beauty is a homemade piece, right? Wrong.
Designed by Ingo Maurer, the Zettel’z is a paper and wire chandelier featuring love letters from across the world. Equal parts interactive installation and functional pendant, the piece arrives with plenty of blank notes included – perfect for adding your own language of love to the mix. What a beautiful sentiment!
It’s a pricey chandelier (starting at $994), but I can only imagine the conversations it might spark for years to come. Tell me, would you splurge on a meaningful piece like this one? Or would you try to DIY a similar version? I’m tempted!
