A Shoe-In For A Pillow
Posted by Erin | Filed under Inspiration, Musings
Think the only place worthy of your favorite leather shoes is in the depths of your closet? Think again. Artist Baptiste Viry created a patchwork cushion out of used leather shoes as part of a larger collaboration with Yellow Velvet. Of course, it’s sold out (even at $1200! Eek!), but I love the inspiration behind such an unusual object.
Amazing, right? I don’t even want to imagine how long it must have taken to make! So surreal. Hats off (and shoes?) to you, Baptiste!

DIY: A Stenciled Pillow
Posted by Erin | Filed under Design Tips, Inspiration, Solutions
I’m a sucker for a good DIY, but with my less-than-crafty skills, it’s gotta be an easy one. Luckily, this genius DIY stencil pillow from Wit & Whistle is right up my alley – and gorgeous to boot!
Inspired by the $159 version from Vivaterra, Amanda turned an average pillow case into a sweet and sentimental souvenir for her favorite song lyrics. Better yet? The materials needed are little more than stencils, a marker and some cardboard!
Even I can do that! Genius.
