Whoops… ‘scuse me… is my Bah-ston showing? I couldn’t resist
As the weather starts to get crisp, dreams of beautiful, weathered and worn leather accessories start to pierce my mind and worm their way into my heart. A great leather jacket like the Muubaa one below can carry so many outfits through the fall, winter and even spring.
And while I may currently be as large as a house (my due date is 11/5) and thus unable to even fathom wearing a cute leather jacket, I can certainly covet this gorgeous Fallow bag available at plümo.
Of course, as classic as weathered leather is in our wardrobes, it translates just as easily to our home decor as well. This gorgeous living room, found over at Velvet & Linen, is a classic example of how well a good leather piece can fit into, and even elevate, any decor.
Just look how beautifully this camel-colored leather piece pairs with FLOR’s bold Lasting Greatness tiles. The effect is is both traditional and on trend.
Another gorgeous example is this ahhhhhhh-mazing Hans Leather Chair from Dwell Studio. I so appreciate the contemporary lines with the soft, pliable medium of leather.
If you were on the look for something a bit chunkier to sink into, this Collins Leather Chair from Restoration Hardware would work well in many settings.
And check out these beautiful dining chairs from The Modern Warehouse. They’re almost like jewelry for your table!
Do you have any favorite leather pieces in your home?

Every now and then, I fall in love with a texture or pattern that I simply can't get enough of. Normally, I'm craving something simple and feminine, such as a bursting floral print or linen and canvas materials.
Yet now? Now, I'm falling hard for leather. I don't know what began the obsession, really, other than the fact that I've been incorporating more and more leather pieces into my wardrobe lately. From belts to boots and gloves to glasses, I'm grabbing anything leather I can get my hands on.
And although I never thought I'd be the one to say this, I'm realllly pining for leather in my home. It's just so… masculine, but yet so, so cozy. In fact, a rugged, lived-in Chesterfield sofa sounds like the perfect cup of tea on these winter evenings.
I'm giving my wee little obsession six months before I pounce on re-decorating with leather club chairs, heavy throws and the like. Who knows? By that time, I just might be craving suede!
Naturally, I'm curious: Do you guys go through mini obsessions with your decor and furnishings? Do you follow through immediately, or wait a bit before purchasing? Spill!
