Ah yes…Christmas is over and it’s time to think forward to New Year’s. I never really got into New Year’s that much until I met my husband. His birthday IS New Year’s Eve, so he always got into New Year’s – party-by-default, anyone? Either way, neither one of us can stay up until midnight these days…yeah…I know…sad…but that doesn’t mean we can’t still celebrate the birthday of a new year and my old husband.
I was tickled when I saw the latest party inspiration over at Envelopments; I like that they were able to combine the super-hot bunting trend with some old-school elegant calligraphy on the food markers to create a look that is whimsical and fresh.
Of course, I’m too lazy to make my own bunting…so thankfully there are plenty of options on Etsy to check out.
I love the sweet mini-bunting (above) and the stately, modern letterpress with the romantic, traditional baby’s breath (below) is the perfect detail to liven up a mantle or table.
Another fun idea I spied on Etsy was to create a garland with wine corks…fun to display and fuuuuuuuuun to make
I also fell in love with these darling cupcake flags.
Lastly, faux mustaches on sticks are perfect for faux-to booths that are so popular at weddings these days…
(see…my son at a wedding earlier this year)
…how fun would it be to set up a faux-to booth at your New Year’s party?!
What about you…any plans for New Year’s?
