My taste changes so quickly these days, but one room I've been continually drawn to in the past few weeks is this eclectic mix of industrial beauty:

I've never seen cold tile look so cozy and when paired with such a magnificent butterfly/insect display, the space is surprisingly welcoming (even for an insect-o-phobe like me!). The sawhorse desk, lateral files and canvas bins scream of function while that cheery red chair is begging to be sat upon for an impromptu work session.
I'd love an office as visually inspiring as this one — with or without a rug on the floor!
What do you think, readers? Is it all in my head? Do you love this space as much as I?
With the welcome addition of spring weather comes spring cleaning, yes? Why not start in your entryway and tackle a few organizational (and just for fun!) DIY projects to cheer up your space?:
As we mentioned last week, decor and style is all about working with what you've got… and sometimes breaking the rules along the way. Take this kitchen, for example:
Opulent organization? Check. Hardwood floors? Check. Soothing, calming paint colors? Check, check and check.
Yet… wait a second. What's that we see hanging from those gorgeous exposed beams? Is that a — swing?
Indeed, it is. A swing hanging from the rafters of your neighbor's kitchen (We also spotted a unique storage solution in the rafters — did you notice?). The quirky symbol adds just the right amount of whimsy to an already-beautiful kitchen.
Proof that when you're questioning whether or not to infuse personality into a space, the answer is always yes.
Why don't you?

Lonny Mag's January/February release certainly didn't disappoint. In fact, the recent issue has left me reeling indeed, craving equal parts organization and adventure. My favorite find from Lonny? A sneak peek into the studio space of Lilly Pulitzer.
To be honest, I hadn't given Lilly much of a look these past few years… until now,of course. With a studio space that screams "Color! Pattern! Texture!", I'm absolutely floored by the inspiration that abounds.
Now that's a space one can play in, yes? The mood board alone would send me to the moon!
Tell me: Do you prefer your office space to be overwhelmingly busy, full of color and fun? Or do you prefer a clean, monochromatic and non-fussy desk? Spill it in the comments below!

If January is the month of organization, consider this solution a monthly dose of organizational steroids:
Why not adopt a life-size clipboard into your home? Never forget another sporting event, dinner party or volunteer organization meeting again. Bonus? Throw in a giant pencil for good measure.
