Looking for an experiential and sculptural art piece for your space? Frederik Roijé has just the solution. A modernist rocking horse, at once abstract and functional, offers a complex visual experience and a down home dose of fun. This artful rocking horse is not a new introduction for those that follow Frederik’s work as I do, but it resonates as a unique and spirited furniture solution. Frederik’s square series is focused on the reinterpretation of traditional furniture. Made of wood with a durable finish, these equestrian objects come in three sizes for rocking by those wee, and epic alike. Black and White finishes are available to suit any environment.
A little about Frederik: ”Frederik Roijé was born in 1978, in the eastern part of the Netherlands. He graduated in 2001 from the renowned Design Academy in Eindhoven. Here his preference to interior products was already visible. During his studies Frederik did his internships at prestigious designstudios as Piero Lissoni, Milan and Marcel Wanders, Amsterdam. ”
