Try This: A DIY Wall Gallery Idea for your Travel Momentos

Ever since my honeymoon trip to Europe earlier this year, I have been searching for a cool and meaningful way to share some of my travel momentos in my home. We saved many of travel goodies – our maps of the cities we visited, tickets to museums, hotel keys, airline and train tickets, you name it. We had such a wonderful time during our adventure and I definitely wanted to showcase these items in our home rather than hide them away in a photo album. When I spotted this awesome idea for showcasing a passport’s stamps, I knew this would work for us.

The lovely Brooklyn Limestone shares this easy and affordable DIY for travel pieces. Using 6 x 6 wood blocks that can be found at any craft store, she first gilded the edges of the wood with gold paint (love this idea!) After making blownup color copies of the stamps she wanted to share, she use adhesive spray to glue the photocopies to the top of the wood. Voila! Check out more images and her story for creating this project right here.

Have you turned your travel momentos into art? We’d love to hear about your project.
