I used feelin Groovy in 5 vibrant colors. I chose to keep each color in its own row-for a cleaner look. It covers my childrens Playroom and the Family room. I get endless compliments on it.

We live in central Iowa and had a tremendous flood in our area this past August. Our basement, which was finished as a media room and guest room, was flooded when our sump pump couldn't keep up. We chose to replace our soggy, moldy carpet with wall-to-wall Flor. We picked two colors of Feelin' Groovy--eggplant and desert--and have installed them in a checkerboard pattern. We ordered over 350 Flor tiles (it's a huge area) and had an insane number of cuts to make (to give you an idea of the zigs and zags, we had to put in 66 pieces of baseboard molding--most of them shorter than 3 feet, most of them at right angles). The basement is nearly (re)finished now, and the Feelin' Groovy looks fantastic. We didn't want all one color, because we didn't like the subtle checkerboard pattern that appears with floor tiles--we figured if we couldn't have wall-to-wall sameness like we had before, we should embrace the checkerboard and pick two similar colors. Installation was fairly easy, but we've gone through a LOT of knife blades. That tile backing dulls blades like you wouldn't believe. Having a sharp knife and a good carpenter's square makes installation much faster. The tiles themselves are heavy (I know this because I carried all 27 boxes in from our front porch alone, in a drizzle, and in high heels) and lay down beautifully. If you have an old house, you will quickly discover that nothing in your home is truly square, so be VERY careful with the placement of the first few tiles. The Feelin' Groovy tiles are slightly patterned, but it's very subtle and fairly uniform looking from a distance. It's not the same feel underfoot as the former carpet and squishy pad, but it is warm enough over concrete flooring and it definitely makes the space look "finished." And we have plenty of extra tiles for when we have pet or kid messes to deal with.

I've got these tiles throughout several rooms in my home's lower floor -- with different color mixes (and a few of a different style thrown in). Given the wide variety of colors and the classic clean fresh design, I was able to tie the rooms together nicely. They were easy to cut and to create various designs. Given that I have pets, and live in a 4-season climate -- the fact that these still look like they're brand new is amazing. I even have a few tiles used as a 'door mat' inside of an outside door. I've been very pleased, and am already planning a few more rooms.

Having been a previous FLOR customer, I knew immediately that I wanted to use FLOR in our playroom when we converted it from an unused attic space to a colorful spot for our two kids to play. We have had numerous compliments on our choice of using FLOR and I rest easy knowing that if finger paint get spilled or Play-Doh gets mashed into one of the tiles, I can pull out one tile and clean it, or toss it and swap in one of the extra tiles we have in our storage room. FLOR was a fun choice and a much better alternative than area rugs especially since we have an unusually shaped space, and with traditional wall-to-wall carpet, if we get a spot (which, trust me, we will), the whole thing is not ruined. Can you tell I recommend FLOR to anyone who will listen??

Style: Feelin' Groovy
Color: Truffle
Subtle tone and texture variations combine with deeply saturated colors. The sheared loop pile leaves a softly pleasant feel underfoot. Get into the groove: colors for any room, priced for any budget. Mix from Feelin' Groovy's own vast palette or mix with the same colors in Toy Poodle or Rake Me Over. FLOR recommends installing parquet-style.
