1. I Love the Finer Things!!!

   I did my basement using the Finer Things back in 2005, and loved it. The tiles have held up very well, and still look great even today (May 2011). I liked them so much that I did my master bedroom with them in 2007. I had a mini flood in my family room, and need to replace the tiles for half of the room. Guess what, I'm using the Finer Things once again!!!

2. Wall to Wall - Beautiful!

   I purchased Finer Things in cream color for a guest bedroom with a walk-in closet. The room also connects through a doorway to a bath with a double sink vanity and another adjoining walk-in closet. (The tub and toilet are separate and have a ceramic tile floor.) This project was a challenge as this is an older house and .... hard to believe... there are six doorways with curved mouldings in this relatively small space. I wanted to go wall to wall throughout with clean transitions from guest room to bathroom and into the closets. And I'd never laid any floor in my life! I had first considered getting wood flooring installed but the cost of labor was prohibitive due to the intricate and numerous doorways and mouldings ... and wood would not have been suitable in the portion where the vanity is located. FLOR tile is perfect for this area.
   
   The job required 78 tiles. (I didn't mess up a single one!) The sub-floor is concrete slab and needed to be stripped of gross carpeting, cleaned and sealed. It was surprisingly easy to cut the FLOR tile to fit along the walls and around the door frames and obtain a perfect fit. I took my time and made templates when needed and cut curves with scissors after scoring with the tip of the carpet knife. The Finer Things "weave" is such that partial tiles on the perimeter of the rooms are barely noticeable. Finer Things was the perfect tile for this project. I'm beyond pleased with the result and find myself stealing looks at the room several times a day. It is bright, contemporary, elegant and ready for furniture. This guest room is off the living room which has a hardwood cherry floor. The cream color of the FLOR tile next to the dark red of the wood is just lovely.
   
   I'm seriously considering doing our huge MBR wall to wall in FLOR tile as well. This should be a breeze as there are only two doorways to cut around. And when I'm done with that, I'll probably have some fun with a funky rug for the dining room. THAT job I could do in under an hour and have the same stunning results. FLOR is an amazing concept and the perfect solution for our house.

3. Holds up in a busy house

   I wanted a light carpet, but I knew it was not practical for a busy household with a toddler and pets. This carpet allows me to have that lighter look and nicely hides the dirt. When my dog traipeses in with dirty paws, the floor cleans up quickly by blotting with wet and dry cloths.

4. just like berber rug but even nicer

   Finer Things feels and looks like a Berber rug. It is extremely durable and the tiles are really easy to clean, even with a dog and a baby!
