Telling Stories with Pictures:
A FLOR store Workshop with illustrator Thom Glick
Illustrator and FLOR collaborator Thom Glick led a workshop that guided participants through the creative evolution of story telling through images. On July 14th, before a group of college design students, local professional designers, architects and other FLOR enthusiasts, Mr. Glick discussed the components of successful composition: environments, character interaction, props and symbolism.
After his brief lecture, Thom directed each guest, sketchbooks and pencils in hand, to create their own story through image. After completion, everyone shared his or her story. The exercise prompted a compelling group conversation about the creative experience of using only pictures to tell a personal story.
