FLOR on patio or balcony?

FLOR should not be used outside or where it can get soaked completely and not allowed to dry. It is great to use in a 4 season room or covered patio as water on the surface will not effect the face fiber. However, it should not be allowed to soak through. FLOR is not made of a wicking or "breathable" material, so any water that gets trapped underneath will not evaporate,and may cause the growth of mold. FLOR modular carpet tiles may be used on a covered balcony (if the surface is flat and clean) where you have it down for only a short time and are able to remove it to dry properly and to check for water underneath. Heat and sun will not effect performance.
