First, my house has an L-shaped room. The main part is a living room with a large Persian carpet. The other part is a small sitting area. I needed a floor covering that would complement the Persian carpet. This tile was perfect.
As an added bonus, this tile is a godsend for a house with pets. Within the first week my dog (a Labrador retriever) ran into the house, and over the tiles, with muddy paws. Normally there would be hysterics but not this time. The tiles were very easy to clean, and continued to look great afterward. Since my dog is high energy, he has snagged the carpet but this does not detract from the appearance. In fact, I think it has added a richness of depth.
If I were to do this room again, I would use the same tile, it is an updated classic.
