Intro Image

Our style says a lot about who we are, and our personalities really come through in how we designed our home.

The pattern in the rug matches our personalities. It’s practical and clean, but it has a fun, modern feel too.

If I forget to take off my shoes, or I’m carrying one of the boys and they have an accident, it’s no problem. We can just pick up a tile and clean it.

Learn More About the Waynes

We joined the Waynes in their Chicago home to talk about how they incorporated their family’s personality into their interior design.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR STYLE.

Ashley: We’re a fun-loving family with two boys, Maxton and Beckett. We love to see the world, and we wanted all the experiences we’ve had together to be reflected in our home. We actually met while working at a hip-hop radio station in Chicago—that’s why we chose this painting of Lil Wayne for our son’s nursery. Plus, the nod to our name!

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT FLOR?

Evan: It’s practical, but also livable. Ashley is super organized, and I tend to be messier. She wants our home to look like a magazine, while for me it’s important to have a space we can live in. The FLOR rugs do both. It’s soft to the feet, and perfect if one of the kids (or Dad) has a spill. Ashley: And we don’t have to worry about stain remover or throwing out the whole rug. We can just replace a tile.

WHAT ARE YOUR TIPS FOR DESIGNING A NURSERY?

Ashley: Create a nursery with a look you love. A baby doesn’t really know the difference, but you do! That was one reason our designer recommended FLOR. There are so many fun patterns and colors to choose from. Evan: There’s a balance you need decorating for kids. You need something functional, and with FLOR you can have that while still maintaining a look and feel you love.
