Having a FLOR carpet is no different than having a piece of art on the wall.

FLOR x Modernism Week

For Modernism Week 2024, we took a tour of Wexler ’54, a Mid-Century home recently renovated by Howard Hawkes and Kevin Kemper from H3K Home + Design. Located in beautiful Palm Springs, CA, Wexler ’54 is a stunning example of post and beam construction.

H3K set out to take this home back to its roots and create a space that supports modern-day living, all while using FLOR rugs to incorporate colors and patterns that Mid-Century Modern design is known for.

FLOR brings adaptability, customization, and cleanability, while Trina Turk brings versatility.

Trina Turk x FLOR Collection

Known for bright colors and bold patterns, fashion designer Trina Turk’s line of chic ready-to-wear radiates optimism. We collaborated with Trina to bring her signature style to an exclusive collection of FLOR area rugs.

FLOR offers functionality, sustainability, and interesting designs—all in one.

This renovation was special. The house was always beautiful, but we felt like we could make it more of a reflection of ourselves.

P.S. From Palm Springs

For Modernism Week, the annual festival highlighting everything Mid-Century mod, we visited the chic home of Howard Hawkes and Kevin Kemper. When they bought their first home in Palm Springs, Howard and Kevin never imagined that remodeling the home would lead to something bigger. The idea for H3K Home+Design rose from the fixer-upper with classic Mid-Century bones and grew into a full-service design and build company.
