1. Tell us a little about yourselves and your background.

THELIFESTYLEDCO™ is a full-service interior design firm, specializing in new builds, large-scale renovations and interiors, using a minimal and modern aesthetic we’ve created called Organic Desert Living™. We also have multiple brick-and-mortar retail shops located in Arizona, and an online shop with the ability to ship worldwide! Kristen Forgione, Principal Designer and Creative Director, is the founder and driving force behind THELIFESTYLEDCO™, leading a team of 40+ desert-loving designers and support staff.

3. How did sustainability influence your design decisions?

Sustainability in design is one of CIVANA’s top pillars in terms of refurbishment and re-use of the existing buildings and structures. According to recent reports, the largest contributor to carbon in construction is the substructure and superstructure, which typically accounts for 65% of a building.

4. How did you learn about FLOR?

As designers, we are constantly staying up on the latest in both hospitality and residential resources. FLOR has always been in our repertoire when designing for kids playrooms, home or corporate offices, and hospitality.

5. Tell us more about how the floor coverings play into the overall design aesthetic of the space?

We selected the FLOR carpet tile to jump start our creative process for the lobby library. It’s active yet helped set a neutral backdrop for the soothing interiors we worked hard to create as the guests first touch point upon arrival.

6. Why did you choose FLOR for this space?

We chose FLOR carpet tiles for the lobby’s high-traffic library zone because we trusted they would hold up beautifully to the wear and tear. We also love the great variety of stylish patterns to choose from and the ease of installation.

7. What is your favorite thing about FLOR rugs?

When there’s a tired tile, we can simply replace the tile and not affect the entire space.
