Behind The Collection

For this collection, we returned to the archives and revisited prints and color combinations that felt quintessentially “Trina Turk.” There’s a confidence and optimism to the collection that feels rooted in our original brand DNA, but interpreted in a fresh way for interiors.

We were also inspired by the spirit of Palm Springs and Midcentury Modern design, the geometry, the color, the sense of escapism and joy. We wanted the collection to feel vibrant, graphic, and expressive, while still being livable and versatile.

Absolutely. We looked closely at archival prints from both Trina Turk and Mr Turk collections and explored how those motifs could translate into rugs and interiors.

For Go With The Flow, we leaned a bit more geometric, which gives it more of that classic Mr Turk energy. Midnight Muse was inspired by vibrant, radiating prints, similar to our Coppelia pattern, with bold movement and layered color that are signature to the brand. Easy Does It also pulls from some of our favorite Trina Turk color palettes and patterns.

Fashion and interiors are both about creating a mood and expressing personality, so the transition feels natural. A rug can completely transform the energy of a space in the same way a bold dress or print can transform how someone feels wearing it.

One of the exciting things about our third collaboration with FLOR is that we’ve learned how to push color and pattern in a way that works beautifully in interiors. You can be a little bolder and more playful while still creating something sophisticated and livable. I love the idea that people can bring that same sense of optimism, color, and individuality that defines our clothing into their homes.

I imagine these rugs in spaces that feel layered, collected, and full of personality. They work beautifully with Midcentury architecture and vintage furnishings, but I also love the contrast of pairing bold patterns with very clean, modern interiors.

I hope this collection inspires people to have fun with their spaces and to embrace color or pattern. Your home should reflect your personality and bring you joy.
